PONA Co. Brand Development

PONA Co. is an athlete management company that bridges the gap between young athletes and large brands by leveraging the NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) market. Founded by former college athletes Brett and Sebastian, PONA (Path Of N' Athlete) offers services like self-discovery training, brand development, and content strategy to help athletes build successful personal brands. They focus on engaging with the athlete's persona, conducting market research, and creating compelling content to position brands as leaders in the sports industry.

In my role as freelance brand designer, I developed a fresh logo suite, website, and visual identity for PONA Co. This involved creating a cohesive and compelling brand image to attract both athletes and corporate partners. By focusing on modern, dynamic visuals, I ensured that PONA's branding resonates with their target audience and reflects their innovative approach in the NIL space.

Their main theme throughout the research process was that they want their brands and athletes to be on the same wave. The wave image really resonated with them, so I went ahead and began sketching out wave ideas without making it look like a surfing company or flip-flop brand. Below is what we ended up with:
